Privacy
This page explains what STO collects when you use this site and what happens to it. It's short because there isn't much.
What we collect
- The contact form: your name, your email address and your message. If you came from a knife's page, we also note which knife.
- Server logs: like most websites, our web server records each visit's IP address, the page requested and your browser's details. We use them to keep the site running and secure.
- Visit counts: we count page views to see which knives people look at. The counts are anonymous. They don't identify you and can't follow you to other sites.
That's all. Visitors don't have accounts, and the site doesn't take payments.
How we use it
We use your name, email and message to reply to you. We don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list.
Who handles it
This site runs on Amazon Web Services. Amazon hosts the site, stores the messages people send and delivers the email that tells us a message arrived.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It receives the page you viewed, the site that sent you here, and your browser, device type and approximate country. It doesn't use cookies or follow you across sites. No other company receives your information.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't set cookies for visitors and doesn't store anything in your browser. It has no advertising or cross-site tracking. The only analytics is the anonymous visit counting described above. The fonts load from our own server, not from another company's.
How long we keep it
Messages stay until we delete them. Server logs are kept briefly and then deleted automatically. Visit counts are kept by Cloudflare under its own retention rules.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete a message you sent, email us and we'll take care of it as soon as we can.
